I’m Kyle Matz, and I captured this image of the moon on August 20, 2016. Although, what you may not know is that this is actually two exposures superimposed over each other. The reason for that being that the moon is just too bright and ends up blowing out when I exposed to capture the clouds. Here is a demo with the two original images next to each other with the final product at the end.
